Christmas has come early for fans down under as a Doctor Who pop-up shop has opened its doors in Australia today!

Billed as a “fan’s paradise”, the new shop will be at 7 Wilson Street, Newtown, Sydney for a short time only. It is the first of its kind to include its array of Doctor Who merchandise, such as mugs, DVDs plus other exclusive products.

Fans had been invited to come dressed up as their favourite characters and monsters to celebrate its launch.

“Doctor Who’s always cultivated an extremely diverse, loyal and passionate fan base,” said Rachael Hammond, BBC Worldwide’s Senior Licensing Executive. “We are delighted to be able to offer a dedicated space for fans of the world’s longest running sci-fi show to interact with each other and take home their own part of Doctor Who in its 50th year.”

In store fans can also have their picture taken with a full size Dalek and replica TARDIS.
