Another day means another 12th Doctor as Julian Rhind-Tutt has become the latest name to be put forward.

According to The Sun, the Green Wing star is in the running to take over the coveted role from Matt Smith who departs at Christmas. Julian was “down to the last few” to be cast as the Eleventh Doctor before Matt was chosen for the part and the producers are reportedly considering him again.

Meanwhile, Burn Gorman has also been mentioned.

The Torchwood star who played Owen Harper in the spin off series is said to be “among the final contenders” with Emun Elliott and Richard Coyle. But only time (Lord) will tell…

Yesterday Sheridan Smith emerged as the new favourite to be the first female Doctor.

Owen Harper and the 12th Doctor in the same universe, I seriously doubt it, as much as I liked Burn Gorman’s original character.

Would his favourite things be the same?… Sleeping, Eating and …

Moving on, I think that’s a bit of a longshot and as for Julian Rhind-Tutt, I’d always think of him as that journalist in Notting Hill.

Emun Elliot was good as Mr. Moray in The Paradise last year with a second series due to air later this year, but I’m not quite sure I can see him as the Doctor though.
