Toby Haynes to direct first two episodes of Series 6

As the cast and crew continue filming, news has today surfaced that Toby Haynes will be directing Episodes 1 and 2 of Series 6.
Haynes was behind the acclaimed Series 5 two-parter, The Pandorica Opens/The Big Bang, and his return for the forthcoming episodes was revealed via an update on his CV. He also helmed this year’s Christmas special, guest-starring Katherine Jenkins and Michael Gambon, which was filmed in Cardiff earlier in the summer.
Episode 3 – written by Neil Gaiman and directed by Richard Clark – is currently being filmed, and, as confirmed yesterday, will guest star actress Suranne Jones as an important character called Idris. Stick with us for the latest Series 6 developments!
Thought as much. Steven wouldn’t have been stupid and not used Toby again after that fantastic series finale. Should be an excellent series next year with Toby, Richard and Adam back to direct.
Toby was fantastic. We are definitely in for a good series if he’s back! Even if it’s just the first two episodes.
