Don’t let our morbid headline dampen your spirits – this particular Monday brings with it nothing but cause for celebration, as it marks the day on which Death of the Doctor will officially begin!

Unless you’ve been hiding away in Sarah Jane’s attic for the past few months, you’ll have no doubt been counting down the days to this week’s two-parter, because it will see the Doctor’s triumphant return to our small screens, but what will his old friend make of his latest incarnation?

Not only that, but the Doctor will be reunited with another of his old friends, in the form of Jo Grant. And with the added knowledge that the episodes have also been penned by former Doctor Who showrunner Russell T Davies, there’s certainly good reason to be excited, and the action gets underway this afternoon over on the CBBC Channel.
