Torchwood: The New World casting rumours surface

An ‘exclusive’ report from Entertainment Weekly has revealed 3 actors who could potentially be appearing in next year’s series of Torchwood.
The article suggests that both One Tree Hill star Chad Michael Murray and Dollhouse’s Enver Gjokaj are in the running to portray the character of 28-year-old Rex Matheson, who has been described as a “fast-tracker in the C.I.A.” who “hustles, seduces and campaigns to get where he is today”.
Meanwhile, CSI actress Amber Stevens is reportedly the ‘frontrunner’ for the part of a Esther Katusi, a CIA agent in her early 20s who is determined to better herself.
Filming for The New World will officially begin in the UK and the US in January 2011.
Chad Micheal Murray? Really? I guess it’ll get more American fans if he’s in it, but I honestly cannot see him in Torchwood. I understand they’re trying to mix American and British culture here, but I hope it isn’t a horrible disaster of a culture clash.
well hes gorgeous so of course RTD is going to have him lol. Its very weird to think any american actors would go for torchwood. I keep thinking its not as popular over there as it is here
