Sarah Jane, Rani and Clyde’s penultimate adventure of the series has kicked off, and it’s one that is sure to stand the test of time for our heroes - all thanks to the Shopkeeper!
As the gang find themselves separated through time, an greater danger is approaching…
PART 1 – A harmless investigation turns into an epic quest across time and space. Sarah Jane and the gang are separated by the enigmatic Shopkeeper, and find themselves in three different time-zones throughout history - doing battle against ghost hunters, Nazis, Tudors and a mysterious parrot called Captain!
Back in the present, this post is ready and waiting for you to get your heads around the two-parter as and when it develops across the week. Love it or loathe it, it’s time to share it, but please don’t read the comments if you haven’t seen any of the story!
PART 2 – While Sarah Jane tries to prevent a future tragedy, Clyde has to take on the Third Reich single-handed! But Rani discovers to her horror that the march of history cannot be stopped, as a greater danger from the Time Vortex threatens to consume them all.
Two words. Absolute pile of rubbish.
that is four words and i thought it was very good
Fantastic first part and so much better than last week’s story. I was shocked to hear the “N” word in a children’s programme, but historical accuracy is important no matter who the target audience are.
It was different, I quite liked Sarah Jane’s story and the way they made Rani’s travel, Quite Brilliant! Sometimes I think they don’t give Rani good lines… but hey, its on Sarah Jane LOL
Well, I enjoyed the story. Some of the SJAs I find a little thin but I have to remember it is for children and on a children’s channel at a very early time. That said, what I think is interesting is that throughout this series there have been hints of a Rani/Clyde romance. These two are growing up and I have to wonder how much longer they can stay in the series? I wonder if the “Goodbye Sarah Jane” episode isn’t so much us saying goodbye to her, but rather Clyde and Rani? After all, Luke has been subtly written out of the series with only a few appearances via video phone… K9 has gone with him… and not to mention Maria… what’s to stop Clyde and Rani leaving? I also think it would help freshen the dynamic of the series, especially in giving Sarah Jane some more surrogate children to look after. For a woman who had no biological children she certainly has a large family now.
