I did not think that this was the best episode, there was too much of Rani and Clyde.

I thought this story was quite dull. I agree way too much clyde and rani. You can tell this one was the cheap CHEAP episode

I totally disagree with both pirko and Ilovereading.
I thoroughly enjoyed this story, the beginning reminded me of the 1st series of Survivors, the 1970 one, I thought that the non use of music when Rani discovers she is alone, just the sound of emptiness (wind in trees etc) was brilliant and in that respect I would have preferred it if no background music at all had been used until they meet Gavin.
I did not think the story was dull at all, it kept me guessing for a while who Gavin was really and I have no problems with a Clyde and Rani centric episode, I do think they are 2 good young actors who deserve to take centre stage too.

Not enough Clyde and Rani, to be honest!

However, that wasn’t what ruined the story. The tone of this story was nothing like the past three series and three stories before it. Where the previous stories were more like episodes of Doctor Who in terms of the tone, this story was a bit too much like a children’s show and doesn’t fit in with the series, really.

Also, it dragged on way too long.
