Believe it or not, it has now been two whole years since the first Doctor Who Adventure Game, City of the Daleks, was released unto the world!

To mark the anniversary, the official website caught up with one of the writers, Phil Ford, recently, who reflects on the success of the interactive episodes. He said: “Looking back, my strongest memory of the last two years is the first time I saw the finished project. I think seeing your script turned into something thrilling is what it’s all about.”

Altogether five episodes have been released, including City of the Daleks, Blood of the Cybermen, TARDIS, Shadows of the Vashta Nerada and, most recently, The Gunpowder Plot. However, there are “no current plans” for any further instalments.

I remember how excited I was the night before TARDIS was released, it’s one of the best adventure games from the series! I loved it because I knew you could fly the TARDIS! So I was very excited the night before and couldn’t sleep.
