As well as episode synopses the media pack also includes press interviews with the Series 7 cast and crew!

First up is the man in charge, Steven Moffat, who explains his decision to kick off the new series with the return of the Daleks. “We have been off the air for longer than usual so it was an easy decision to come back with Doctor Who being at its most iconic,” he revealed. “Only one monster can sum up the whole series just by being there. Also, it’s my first go at writing for them, and I couldn’t resist any longer!”

He also describes 2012 as “the year of the Ponds” and says that their story “hasn’t even begun to end yet”. He teased: “We’ll see more of their lives and Time Lord-complicated relationship than we ever have before – but the Weeping Angels are waiting for them…”

He finishes by saying their exit is “traumatic”. “Karen and Arthur are brilliant performers and warm and lovely people – the best of the best,” he said. “Amy’s everything I admire about strong women. Rory is the man I’d like to be – so strong he never has to show it.”

Next in the spotlight is Matt Smith, who admits to being “immensely proud” about this year’s adventures, as Karen Gillan fondly looks back on what’s been “the biggest and most exciting time” in her life. Last but not least Arthur Darvill sums up their thoughts: “It’s been a fantastic adventure, and I hope everyone enjoys the remainder of the ride.”
