Jenna-Louise Coleman has described her character Clara as “feisty”, marking her down as “a mysterious one”.

“She is very down to earth, but curious too,” the actress told the BBC. She’ll be introduced as the new companion in this month’s festive special The Snowmen which Jenna says is as “a proper Christmas treat”. We’ll see her cross paths with the Doctor in Victorian England, where she is working in the ‘Rose and Crown’ pub. “She isn’t intimidated by the Doctor,” Jenna explains. “She finds him amazing and ridiculous.”

She adds: “She’s on her own mission, living by her own means. She’s very resourceful.”
