Peter Davison has confirmed he’ll be attending a “meeting” with a Doctor Who producer to discuss the 50th anniversary.

Chatting to the Independent at a recent convention, the Fifth Doctor actor revealed he has yet to be informed how he will be involved in the landmark festivities.

“I’m doing a Big Finish special,” he added. “Apart from that I don’t know. I do have a meeting with the producer, just to talk about events, things at BAFTA.”

He said: “There is a big celebration on the weekend when the series went out originally.”

He has previously doubted a multi-Doctor adventure, saying he’d be “very surprised”.

A 50th Anniversay special would be absolutely amazing. Do you have any idea about the format? Will there be Doctors talking about their favorite episodes or scenes?

It would be great if there was a chance to win tickets to see the taping! And even better if I would win them!

    Have a fantabulous day!

I’m sure I read the special is filming this month; so it would seem, if he’s only just having a meeting about it, then Davison being involved in that special is a bit of a stretch.

I think this silence from the BBC is actually becoming destructive at this point.

We’re all rapidly losing hope about a multi-Doctor story, which is something a lot of us (not all, I know) want.

The BBC have also had to actually respond to an official complaint that the 50th Anniversary wasn’t being marked properly, IE: There isn’t enough going on.

The idea of an 11th Doctor fest depresses me. 50 years of Doctor Who and Moffat could make it all about his Doctor.

I agree that the 50th Anniversary should be a celebration of all the previous Doctors, as well as the current one! I will be so disappointed if it is not a multi-Doctor special, because I am ever so fond of the classic Doctors!!!

Even if the other Doctors are not to be involved in whatever Moffat has planned, I think as long as they are involved in something would do for me.
