Steven says Twelfth Doctor will be “a fiercer man”
Steven Moffat has teased that Peter Capaldi’s Doctor will be “a fiercer” incarnation of the Time Lord.
Speaking to the new issue of Doctor Who Magazine, on sale on Thursday, the showrunner said it will be “rather exciting” for the character’s appearance to be more representative of his age. “The Doctor’s always said he is thousands of years old and suddenly he is going to look closer to what we know he secretly is,” Steven said. “He won’t be the dashing young man he was a minute ago.”
Peter Capaldi was unveiled in the role earlier this month in a special live programme on BBC One. Steven added: “How has it taken us so long!? The moment you say his name, you go ‘Of course!’. He’s got the hair, he’s got the look. He’s brilliant. Of course it’s him!”
