Brilliant new pictures from An Adventure in Space and Time have been released by the BBC.

The one off docudrama written by Mark Gatiss will depict the story behind Doctor Who’s creation when it airs on BBC Two next month as part of the 50th anniversary celebrations.

David Bradley stars in the film as First Doctor actor William Hartnell and, back in January, he said he felt “thrilled” to be ressurecting the Time Lord’s original incarnation.

“When Mark asked if I was interested, I almost bit his hand off,” he said. “He has written a brilliant script about the birth of a cultural phenomenon and a moment in TV’s history.”
