The BBC has confirmed that a new “specially created” trailer for the 50th anniversary will premiere on BBC One tonight!

While not a trailer for the 50th anniversary episode The Day of the Doctor itself, this 60 second trail will instead celebrate 50 years of Doctor Who by taking fans on a journey through time back to how the legend of the Doctor began.

Using state of the art technology, the trailer will “show all of the Doctors as they first appeared on screen”.

First Doctor William Hartnell will appear in it but in high res colour for the very first time.

The trailer will debut tonight (Saturday) at 8:20pm – between Strictly Come Dancing and Atlantis – on BBC One and it will be available to watch again online “immediately after”.
