The Doctor & I foreword written by Richard Curtis
Pre-orders for The Doctor & I open in 5 days time and we are incredibly excited to confirm that the book will feature a foreword by award-winning writer Richard Curtis!
The book serves as a celebration of fifty years of the Doctor Who fandom told across 80 heartwarming stories from those who have been impacted and inspired by the series.
Richard wrote the acclaimed Series 5 episode Vincent and the Doctor and we’re honoured to have his support.
“Doctor Who was my one chance to write for something that is science fiction,” he said. “It’s the extraordinary range of things you can do with that – from sheer excitement and fear to striving for meaning to, ultimately, trying to say something about being human.”
The book will be published worldwide by GJB Publishing on the Day of the Doctor itself, 23rd November. Richard added: “The Doctor has brought people together to give us so many happy and scary and interesting and exciting and wondrous times over the years.”
Richard’s writing credits include Four Weddings and a Funeral, Notting Hill and Mr Bean.
The Doctor & I will be available as a standard paperback book and also in ebook format.
Getting Richard Curtis to write the foreword to our book is a significant achievement.
The man is a legend for a multitude of reasons.
