Please join us as we raise our sonic sunglasses to wish Peter Capaldi a very Happy Birthday!
The Twelfth Doctor actor is turning 59 today, and we hope he enjoys his celebrations. Feel free to leave your own messages for him in the comments below.
Peter will be back on our screens TOMORROW NIGHT to kick off his final string of adventures in The Pilot, which airs on BBC One at 7:20pm. Read our advanced spoiler-free preview of the episode here, plus our exclusive teasers.
Today, 23rd November, is a particularly poignant date in the calendar of a Doctor Who fanatic, as it marks the official anniversary of their favourite show!
Doctor Who first aired on this day 53 years ago as the landscape of television changed forever when William Hartnell introduced the nation to a mysterious Time Lord called the Doctor in An Unearthly Child. Over half a century later (time certainly flies when you’re having fun!), Whovians are eagerly anticipating his return in the Christmas Special next month, which quite simply can’t come soon enough.
So, Doctor Who, a very Happy Birthday to you, and a sincere thank you from us for all the memories thus far. You are, quite literally, out of this world. It’s been the trip of a lifetime.
We’d just like to say a a huge THANK YOU to all of our visitors – new and old – who continue to make WhovianNet such a fantastic and ever growing community!
The site turned 9 years old(!) earlier this month and we really couldn’t keep it going without your ongoing support, so please join us as we raise a glass to our weird and wonderful fandom family. Needless to say, there are plenty of exciting times ahead, with the arrival of Class this weekend and the Doctor’s triumphant (and overdue) return on Christmas Day. As always, we’ll be here to cover it all. Geronimo!
To celebrate Sylvester McCoy’s birthday (the Seventh Doctor actor turned 73 yesterday), Lovarzi are offering 15% off all of their Doctor Who products.
Their collection includes officially licensed scarves, jumpers, umbrellas and much more and you can take advantage of the offer by using the code WHO15 during checkout. Simple enough, right?
Be quick, though, as the offer will end at midnight tonight (Sunday). Time and tide melts the snowman…
Please join us as we raise our glasses to wish Colin Baker a very happy birthday!
The actor – who helmed the TARDIS as the Sixth Doctor from 1984 to 1986 – turns 73 today, and we hope he enjoys his celebrations.
His adventures continue in the Big Finish audio adventures, and next year the past and present will collide when he comes face to face with River Song herself! Feel free to post your own birthday wishes for Colin in the comments.
Please join us as we raise our glasses to wish Pearl Mackie a very happy birthday!
The actress – who will be portraying the Doctor’s brand new companion, Bill, in Series 10 – turns 29 today, and we hope she enjoys her celebrations. She made her on screen debut as the TARDIS’ incoming co-resident in a special scene, Friend from the Future, which was aired during the FA Cup semi-final on BBC One last month.
Feel free to post your own messages for Pearl below.
Please join us as we raise our glasses to wish both Jenna Coleman and Russell T Davies a very happy birthday!
The Clara Oswald actress, who bowed out as everybody’s favourite impossible girl at the end of the last series, is 30 today, while Russell T Davies, who revived the series back in 2003 and served as its showrunner from 2005 to 2010, turns 53.
We hope they both enjoy their respective celebrations and feel free to leave your own messages for them below.
David Tennant isn’t the only Doctor Who alumni celebrating his birthday today, you know.
It would be rude to forget (and she would never let us forget it if we did!) that Camille Coduri – who played Rose’s mum Jackie Tyler in Series 1, 2 and 4 - is 51 today, and we hope she enjoys her celebrations!
Jackie didn’t always see eye to eye with the Doctor (to put it lightly!), but she always had her daughter’s back. Leave your own birthday wishes for Camille in the comments below.

The actor – who helmed the TARDIS from 2005 to 2010 – turns 45 today, and we hope he enjoys his celebrations. He’ll be back on our screens this weekend as he takes to the stage to host Shakespeare Live!, being broadcast on TV and in cinemas, and Christmas will come early for Tenth Doctor fans next month with the high anticipated releases of Big Finish’s new audio adventures, as well as an original novel. Post your own birthday messages for David below. Allons-y!
Please join us as we raise our sonic sunglasses to wish Peter Capaldi a very happy birthday!
The actor – who, of course, is currently rocking around time and space as the Twelfth Doctor – turns 58 today (Thursday), and we hope he enjoys his celebrations.
He’ll be back aboard the TARDIS next month when cameras start rolling on Series 10, which won’t hit our screens until Spring 2017. We’ve the Christmas Special in December to tide us over, though, which simply cannot come soon enough.
Feel free to leave your own birthday well wishes for Peter in the comments section below.
