A Doctor Who script personally signed by Peter Capaldi is currently up for auction.
The script – the second draft of Series 9’s premiere episode The Magician’s Apprentice – was donated by the Twelfth Doctor to Lively Minds‘ annual fundraiser week and comes complete with his very own drawing of Davros, which is worth the money in itself! All funds raised will go towards supporting childhood education and female empowerment in rural Ghana and Uganda. Thanks to Laura for the tip!

It has been confirmed that Series 9 of Doctor Who will begin on BBC One on Saturday 19th September 2015.
The start date was revealed at the end of the brand new trailer which was released online earlier this evening shortly after its premiere during the cast and crew Q&A panel at Comic-Con. The first episode, The Magician’s Apprentice, is the first of a two-parter which will mark the return of Missy. It has been described as the show’s “darkest plot ever” as it sees the Doctor making a mistake which has “cataclysmic repercussions”. Let the countdown commence!
They also caught up with the man himself, Peter Capaldi, to find out what lies ahead in his second string of adventures.
“The photo shows the Doctor about to make a mistake that has cataclysmic repercussions,” he teased. “It puts the Doctor in a conflict that’s central to his being, as well as containning some subtle tributes to the 1960s, plus there’s some truly wonderful guest performances.”
What do you think of the picture? There’s not a lot to take from it, but let us know anyway!

Michelle Gomez has revealed that fans can expect Missy to be “very naughty” in the new series of Doctor Who.
The actress will be reprising her role as the renegade Time Lady for the Series 9 two-part premiere, The Magician’s Apprentice and The Witch’s Familiar, and recently told the Daily Record that even she “was a bit shocked at her level of disdain”. “She has no boundaries that girl,” she teased. “Obviously I can’t tell you much, because I’m too much of a fan of the show to spoil the fun, but I can tell you that she’s up to no good.”
The character has been a huge hit with fans since she was introduced at the end of Series 8, so much so that she’s getting her own action figure which will be released soon. Michelle said: “The doll is on order. I’ve seen the prototype, which was a surreal day. She’s a funny looking thing. It’s exciting to be an action figure. Not bad going for a lady of a certain age.”

Michelle Gomez has briefly been discussing her upcoming Doctor Who return in a recent interview to promote her new comedy web series, Heather’s American Medicine.
The actress, who was revealed as the first female incarnation of the Master during the Series 8 finale, will be back with a vengeance in the Series 9 two-part premiere, The Magician’s Apprentice and The Witch’s Familiar, and told Digital Spy that it was “a delight” to step back into Missy’s shoes. “Steven Moffat writes her beautifully,” she said. “I get to have a little more fun with her again this year.”
