After last month’s mass break out, all the monsters have been secured and we’re prepared for the critically acclaimed Doctor Who Experience’s grand opening today!

The attraction’s new home is just a stone’s throw away from Roath Lock studios in Cardiff Bay where the show’s filmed, which means it’s the one stop destination for Whovians.

The Experience features a walk-through adventure in which fans get the opportunity to fly the TARDIS – not too shabby!

It also boasts a brilliant exhibition, sporting a momentous menagerie of monsters, props and costumes from the series. Get up close and personal with things you’ve seen on TV!

If you’ll be in Cardiff today for its launch (and we’ve heard word there may be one or two unwelcome guests also making an appearance…), do let us know how you get on! If not, you can come back to have your say below whenever you visit – we’ll put a link up to this post in the sidebar so you can post your reviews as and when. Book tickets here!

I went to the Crash of the Elysium in Ipswich in June and I’m planning to go to The Doctor Who Experience in August! I’m from Norway, so it does take a bit of planning (and money…), but I really, really want to.

Dear DWE, I visited the Doctor Who Experience in September 2012, I paid £10 to have my picture taken & was told that a copy would be sent to face book, 1 month later nothing had appeared so I emailed you, still nothing so I emailed again, I still had not received the picture, so I phoned up this time and spoke to someone, they apologized and said they would look into it, it is now 6 months on and I have not received or heard anything since the call, it has taken some of the gloss of going to the exhibition, I hope in this special year that someone can look into this for me and restore my faith in the DWE.

I sent to DW Experience back in London! I made the trip almost exclusively for it! Entering the Tardis was a huge moment! I got to fly the Tardis commands first, kinda proud of it as I was the only girl of my group! Really enjoyed seeing the costumes and so maaany props and Doctor’s ennemies! I plan on going to Cardiff maybe in2014 to visit the enhanced version… I don’t even want to think how sad I will be if they put Matt’s regeneration on a loop like they did for David… Anyway, I recommend to any Whovian to go and have a blast!
