The second episode of Series 7 has aired but was Dinosaurs on a Spaceship a roaring success?

Its debut on BBC One last night was seen by 5.5 million viewers but it’s not all about the ratings – the Independent has praised Chris Chibnall for his “light and witty script” and the Guardian has celebrated its “beautifully realised” CGI.

The episode was “a bit of a mess” notes the Telegraph, as Digital Spy describe it as a “flashy and bold” adventure.

SFX were also impressed, referring to the story as “slight and fluffy and silly”, while the Radio Times has congratulated the team for “brilliantly” bringing the dinosaurs to life…
