Our favourite show in the whole of time and space has been named Best Family Drama at the TVChoice Awards!

Doctor Who faced competition from the likes of Glee, Merlin and Waterloo Road but of course managed to scoop the title for the third year in a row. Can we get a ‘whoop whoop’!?

Matt Smith, who was nominated for Best Actor, lost out to Benedict Cumberbatch, while Karen Gillan was beaten to the Best Actress post by Miranda Hart.

Better luck next time Matt and Karen… but at least the series didn’t leave empty handed!
