The Day of the Doctor in 19 New Zealand cinemas

The 50th anniversary special of Doctor Who, The Day of the Doctor, will be shown in 19 cinemas across New Zealand.

The 75 minute episode, featuring Matt Smith, David Tennant and John Hurt, will be screened in all its 3D glory at Events, Hoyts and Rialto chains across the country on Sunday 24th November 2013 with specially shot introductions.

Cinemagoers can locate their nearest screening by checking the participating cinema chains’ websites, linked below.

Further celebrations taking place throughout New Zealand include a special weekend of programming on UKTV plus the premiere of the Doctor Who Symphonic Spectacular as part of the New Zealand Festival in Wellington across 21st to 22nd February 2014.

It has also been confirmed that the episode will be screened in 87 cinemas in Australia.

    I’m still waiting to find out if any American ones will be running it; I want to host a Dr Who party on the 23rd, and the timing will depend on whether or not we have to accomodate going to a 3D cinema. Because we totally will all want to see it on the big screen if possible. ;-)
