John and Carole’s children novel, Hollow Earth, is also out now. Find out more here!
It starts with a series of unexplained events. Earth tremors across the globe. People being driven insane by their heightened and scrambled senses. And the world is starting to notice – the number one Twitter trend is #TheLoco. Governments and scientists are bewildered and silent. The world needs Torchwood, but there’s not much of Torchwood left. Captain Jack has tracked the problem to its source: a village in Peru, where he’s uncovered evidence of alien involvement. Back in Cardiff, Gwen Cooper has discovered something lurking inside the Torchwood software – something alien and somehow connected to Jack. If the world is to be restored, she has to warn him – but she’s quickly becoming a victim of the madness, too!

John Barrowman and his sister, Carole, dropped into chat to Graham Norton on his BBC Radio 2 show earlier today.
While the majority of the interview was focused on their new children’s book, Hollow Earth, which is out now, they also teased fans of Captain Jack with a few details about their forthcoming Torchwood novel! “We have just mapped out and finished the very first chapter of it,” John revealed, before exclusively revealing its title as Exodus Code. He confirmed: “It comes out in August or September.”
In another interview recently, the actor said the story is “f****** awesome” for fans.
Meanwhile, they’ve also appeared on BBC Radio Oxford to promote the book, which tells the story of telepathic twins who find themselves sought out by villains. During that interview, John comments on the future of Torchwood, simply saying: “Wait and see…”.
