To try your hand at the free browser-based online game, all you have to do is click here and press ‘Play’. For the game, players become time travellers in order to help the Doctor solve a mystery that threatens the time stream. Featured are monsters and worlds from the new and classic series.

In other gaming news, a new range of games for Playstation/PC has been confirmed.

Big Download have released an interview with Robert Nashak, BBC Worldwide’s Executive Vice President of Digital Entertainment, in which he discusses the upcoming online multiplayer Doctor Who game, Worlds in Time.

“The Doctor has fans around the world so we wanted to reach them in the most accessible way possible,” he said. “The idea of creating an online experience where fans can come together and share their passion for all things Doctor Who - it’s simply too good to pass up.”

He continues: “Players will have to work together and be creative to solve problems, battle the forces of evil, and help save time and space. They also get to have a laugh. The game will not only foster collaboration and co-operation inside the game, but integrate with social platforms and encourage social play at every turn.”

Meanwhile, Nashak goes on to discuss the possibility of a Torchwood game. “It’s always our goal at BBC Worldwide to do as much possible to extend the experience for our viewers wherever it makes sense,” he explains. He also reveals that the Adventure Games will be taken to “multiple distribution partners” over the coming months.
