2015 Awards: The Stars of Series 9
Series 9 reached its dramatic climax earlier this month as the Doctor was Hell Bent on saving Clara Oswald in a feature-length finale that saw the return of Ashildr, Gallifrey and Time Lords alike. It was a fitting conclusion to what has been a rollercoaster ride of a series, culminating in the departure of Jenna Coleman as Clara Oswald and the Doctor stepping back aboard the TARDIS alone with a brand new sonic screwdriver in hand.
As we await the Twelfth Doctor’s return in the Christmas Special, now is as good a time as any to reflect on his second string of adventures. His past came back to haunt him in the two-part premiere, The Magician’s Apprentice/The Witch’s Familiar, and there were plenty of other familiar faces – both friendly and otherwise – along the way, including Missy, the Zygons, Osgood, Kate and Rigsy. But what were your favourite moments? All good things must come to an end but we’re clinging on to Series 9 for a little longer as we declare our 2015 Awards officially open!
