Birthday wishes go out on this day to Billie Piper, the actress who portrayed the Doctor’s companion, Rose Tyler, in Series 1, 2 and 4 of Doctor Who!

Rose was introduced to fans when the series was revived back in 2005, and Billie’s portrayal of the shopgirl-turned-Earth-Defender won the heart of the nation as she travelled throughout the Universe alongside the Doctor’s Ninth and Tenth incarnations.

But they were separated at the end of Series 2, seemingly forever, however she made a short-lived but much-publicized return at the end of last year’s series, and she’ll be back for a third time in a short cameo appearance in this year’s upcoming Christmas specials!
