Jack really IS back!

November 25th, 2009

jack-harkness-tw3Speaking on GMTV this morning, John Barrowman confirmed the long-standing rumours that he WILL be appearing as Captain Jack Harkness in this year’s Doctor Who Christmas specials, The End of Time!

Online fandom has known about his return since April, when Barrowman was spotted filming the two-parter out on location in Cardiff, however the actor has since denied the speculation… until now!

Although it’s nothing new for the majority of fans, it’s nice to have solid confirmation as the broadcast date edges ever closer… Stick with us!

Sorry, typo alert again: “Although it’s nothing [K]new for the majority of fans…”

Anyway, glad to have Jack back! Officially, I mean. But bearing in mind how the Doctor’s visiting Rose’s past (we assume), does that mean he’ll visit Jack’s past? or has Jack returned to Earth after going AWOL at the end of Children of Earth? What mention will there be of the remnants of Torchwood?

    Oh, so many questions…

If he is returning then the ending of CoE was pointless. Well,it was any but you know :P

Although if it’s true that there might be a fourth season of Torchwood then Jack has to come back somehow. Maybe this is it?

Even though the Beeb haven’t confirmed it yet, it’s most likely returning otherwise RTD wouldn’t be doing anything with it ;)

Getting back on topic though, why is Jack back? Does he call the Doctor? Does the Doctor call on him? Do the SP call the Doctor back and the whole reunion kicks off there? Man, there really are so many questions…
