David Bradley’s revealed a few details about his character in Series 7 of Doctor Who.
The actor – best known for his roles in Harry Potter, Hot Fuzz and Game of Thrones – will be seen in Episode 2 of the new series, Dinosaurs on a Spaceship, as Solomon, who he has described as “a space pirate” whilst speaking to The University of Warwick. He said: “We’ve modelled him on a well-known night club owner – he has got long hair, lots of scars, and he wears head to foot in black leather.”
He also confirmed that he “runs a ship the size of Canada”. “He has giant robots who are a bit rusty,” he then added. “He got them two for one I think, at some robot convention.”
He finished: “It was great working with Matt. He is a terrific actor. We had fun together.”

It has been confirmed that Series 4 of The Sarah Jane Adventures will feature appearances from both the Doctor and another of his former companions!
In an exciting story penned by creator and ex-Doctor Who showrunner, Russell T Davies, the team will join forces with Jo Grant, played by Katy Manning, who originally accompanied the Third Doctor through time and space back in the 1970s. Sarah Jane will also be reunited with the Doctor, but what will she make of his latest incarnation?
“Playing Jo Grant again is something I never really considered,” Manning said. ”I was gobsmacked when they told me and I’m over the moon. What an incredible little treat.”
Meanwhile, leading lady Elisabeth Sladen commented: “It’s a fantastic script and I can’t wait to work with another Doctor and hope Matt has fun with us. I’ve known Katy for ages and I am delighted to be working with her. I last met her in LA but this time we will be in Cardiff. LA was good but Cardiff is better.”
According to Nikki Wilson, the two-part adventure will see the gang journeying inside a secret base hidden beneath Mount Snowdon, where they’ll encounter brand-new vulture aliens called the Shansheeth, voiced by actor David Bradley, who plays Argus Filch in the Harry Potter movie series. The executive producer added: “We are absolutely thrilled to be introducing Sarah Jane and the gang to both the Eleventh Doctor and Jo Grant, and to have a script penned by Russell T Davies is the icing on the cake!”
It will mark the Doctor’s second appearance in the CBBC spin off, following David Tennant’s stint in Series 3’s The Wedding of Sarah Jane Smith, and will also be the first time Russell T Davies will have written for the new Doctor!
